Legends

Legendary Team 07/08

Though it was such a short time, I really had the time in my life with these bunch of people around. There are ups and downs with them but whatever happened during our reign, it will be forever etched in my mind and heart.

Though our time at the top has ended and succeeded by another, we will always remain together as one, and no matter what happen, we are friends forever. I'm really glad and honored to have been part of this legendary committee and I look forward to work with you guys in the future. God bless all of you!

AGM (A [dis]Graceful Meeting)

Elections...time where people evaluate the candidates based on the credibility in handling their task to satisfy people's needs. This is where you can see who is capable and who is not. Who wants it more and who doesn't. But the truth is, it is nowhere near that. It all came down who is more popular with the crowd who got elected and got the posts.

No, I'm not posting this because I lost 3 posts, no. Among the reason why I chose to run for Treasurer, Sports Secretary, and Event Organiser is because I made a promise to Ivan, the ex-president that I'll be in the Committee as I'll still be here and I know what's going on inside the Committee. But as fate put it, those who are popular wins the election. It's not that I don't trust this new Committee but I'm bitterly disappointed on how the proceedings went on. And also, in my opinion, it wasn't fair for the other candidates who has been working so hard to prepare their manifesto and all.

Originally there were two Presidency candidates. And out of nowhere, a nomination came from the floor and, since the nominee is a crowd favourite and also given more time to present her manifesto, she won. I think it was thoroughly unfair because the other two candidates were being rushed by the stand-in chairman to quickly finish their respective manifesto. And after she won the post, I became half-hearted to run for the elections. Not to say that I don't have faith in her or whatsoever, but I'm just disappointed with how things went during the election. Supposedly, those who were elected are based on their capability and determination and such. But it all came to me that this was just another election during high school, where you don't have to give any manifesto or speech. It was all pre-determined.

Now, I'm not going to start a revolution to overthrow the Committee, no. All I can say is, now that all of you have been elected, please oh please, do your job. Take it seriously and ensure that this Committee will perform better than the last one. And of course, you will have my support and I will do my best to help, but again, it's your responsibility and we rely on your words for you to deliver the goods.

Godspeed

Stuck in a strange land

Hey all, sorry, again, for the lack of updates. I think this post will be a short one. This one is mainly to express how am I feeling at the moment. Recently, I got together with a girl of whom has been my friend for about 8 years. I thought it might be a good time for me to start another relationship after tons of failed attempts.

Although it is a long-distance relationship, I felt like I can do it this time around. But, there are times that I sulk in my room, reminiscing the moments that I had with my previous girlfriend, Nadia. The fact that she was my first love makes it even harder. I sometimes question myself ,"Am I really happy?"

This is the question that has been running through my head over the last few days. I had to call my best friend, Sarah, who is all the way in Malaysia to cheer me up. But to no avail, I didn't feel any better. What is wrong with me? I nearly commit suicide once when I broke up with Nadia. Is there something about me that is really wrong? Am I too afraid to move on? Or am I stuck in a 'land' where you can't move on with your life?

I really want to make everything the way that it suits everyone. I am trying to move on, trying as hard as I can, for nearly 5 years now but it never seems to work. I really in dire need of help. Is there anyone who can save me from oblivion? Is there....

Disappointment

Hmmm....First and foremost, do forgive me for the lack of updates on the blog. I have been preoccupied with Easter holiday and so on so I really couldn't find any spare time to write anything.

The reason I wrote this post is to express my disappointment with one of my closest friend over here. To say the least, she is my closest friend here and I could say now that she is one of my best friend. I'm very disappointed with her because of her lack of consideration in making decisions in her life. To tell you the truth, she talked to me a lot on how to make decisions in my life regarding studies, friendships, love, etc. But of all the decisions tat she has made before, this one particular decision made me feel very angry with her. She started to date this one guy, A.

I know A as a friend and as a football teammate here in Cardiff. I actually have no grudges against him or whatsoever, but it somehow struck me when she told me about them dating each other. The reason why I was angry ad disappointed in her is that she decided to date on a short-term basis. We have only 2 months before we start our holiday and she has already decided that she and A will be separated during the summer because she is going back to Malaysia and he is not. She said that she enjoys the time that they spend together and she enjoys the fact that she likes him and vice versa. She told me that the 'burn' will definitely happened some time during the summer and she said that it sucks. But if so, why the hell did she insist on continuing this sort of relationship?

She is now going to be 20 later this year and he is going to be 22 or 23. Both of them should know that this is not high school anymore and so should think for the long-term. She said it is just for fun -making out with each other (or going to 1st base). For the intelligence level that she has, this is very stupid, and same goes to A. He is old enough not to play this kind of game anymore. Id breaking up is inevitable, then why insist on continuing? Later when they break up, she will be all emo and stuff. And then, it starts again with dating another guy on a short-term basis and get 'burnt' again. If an idea of fun is the one that will end in a heartbreak, why play the game?

Also, I question about their relationship. What will they get out of this? She said she doesn't know but she is only doing it for fun for the short term. I mean, how stupid can you be? She once said to me that she doesn't date smokers, hell, when we were in Starbucks before the movie, he came and smoked RIGHT IN FRONT OF HER and she didn't say a single word of protest or whatsoever. All her principles of life has all been destroyed because of him. And they have only known each other for less than 3 months. They started dating a couple of weeks ago and she already sept over at his place (only God knows what happened there) and they have made out tons of times. I honestly think before the term ends, something will happen that will make her regret her whole life, and as a friend, I have to be there but at the same time, it serves her right. right now, I have absolutely no intention to either stop them or to nag them. All I can do is sit back and watch this thing fail. Mark my words, she will be sent reeling after all this.
